The Slippery Rock Piano Trio was formed when Paula Tuttle joined the Faculty of Slippery Rock University in 2002. All three members of the Trio are professors in the Department of Music at Slippery Rock University, including Nanette Kaplan Solomon (piano) and Warren Davidson (violin). The Trio performs the Dwight and Jeanne Baker Memorial Concert annually, which benefits scholarship students at the University.
The Trio performs an extensive repertoire in Western Pennsylvania and throughout the region, including outreach concerts for students in Butler and Allegheny Counties. In June 2006, the Piano Trio played in Grantsville, Maryland for the opening of the "Music at Penn Alps" 2006 Concert Series. In October 2005, the Trio performed Beethoven's Triple Concerto with the Butler Symphony.
